What I Love About Being A Doula...

Often people say to me: "You must really love babies!" My answer is that to be a postpartum doula, you must love families. As a trained, certified, postpartum doula, I'm a transition specialist; it's my job to help your family transition this new baby into the home. My work is a quiet work during a very private, wonderful, time. I consider it a privilege to help a new couples become comfortable in their very important roles. Couples become parents, siblings take a new place in the family, pets need to adjust, schedules and routines change, the changes that come with having a newborn are endless. Breastfeeding Assistance
Helping a new mother and baby learn about each other at the breast is one of the great joys of my work as a postpartum doula. Because both are new to this task it's easy for mom to blame herself for any challenges regarding feeding. I will help you work on proper latch and comfort. Experience With Multiples
More than "twice the work.. " If you're expecting multiples you'll need a little more planning and support than a parent of a single baby. In working hours upon hours with twin families I can bring a quiet peace to your heart, for a couple that will be bringing home multiple babies. Together we will look at the needs of your babies.
